I loved this story because it had my greatest passion, Opera. I loved the suspense and romance of the story. I felt like I started in the middle since I have not read the Admiral's Daughter, which I will read before the next installment with Gavin. Another great IR that focused on love and when the time hits you just right to love, the color doesn't matter because the heart knows when it sees its other half is front and center. The trick is to be open and accepting of that love in all its imperfection. Now add in the danger and greed and wow, have you got a story.Loved her father ( the one who raised and loved her enough to stay with a dreadful woman) because he sacrificed his own happiness to save her from the very woman he had chosen to love and marry. Love can conqire all only when the heart is not so full of hate that is so deeply rooted in darkness. No surprise in how it ended though. I knew where it was going as soon as the truth was revealed. A good read and length that developes a great story. I look forward to more.

Oh the drama...and very enjoyable to the end. Romance(lots of it) Action and Mystery what more can you ask for.......
Life...people are cruel enough without family being factored to the equation. So...when family is as cruel as the rest of the world...what is one to do or think for that matter?
Thank God for the one sane parent Geneva had. It's also great that she was pure at heart. She was naturally a good person. She was a fighter. She looked the devil dead in the eye and said hey, I WILL NOT GIVE UP! That's so hard to do when life keeps kicking you down.
Now let's talk about Drake. He was a complicated fella who was completely jaded by his life experiences. Sometimes, we as parents, can be soooo selfish. When you have kids, it's not about you anymore. And that fiancé he had was a peace of work.
