Zane Grey as usual brought the land to life. The cover was misleading, not a old fashioned cowboy tale but of the depression. Nice read.
I'm a definite Zane Grey reader, his stories with their vivid description always make me happy that there's more I haven't read! I'm a bit of a romantic so I enjoy his writing very much and do recommend this book!
The great outdoors ! I love out door adventures . And Zane has a way of drawling you in to that moment..
I have read all but one or two of Zane Grey's books that have been published in format. I can't wait for more. This is not my favorite but is up there among the top runners. If you like westerns, well written and stories that hold your attention. I would recommend this book to you.
Kind of a strange story, not one of Zane's best. Parts of it I really liked but then it ended so suddenly and left me with more questions. I thought parts of it were a little confusing.
I couldn't put this book down once I got into it. I stayed up until two o'clock most nights. It was an exciting and action packed book. I think you will thoroughly enjoy it if you give it a try.
If you are looking for a real western with guns, this ain't it. There are cars and trucks and movie people. It is more a romance type story.
